We have just crossed the anniversary of the Mumbai 26/11 and we offer our condolences to all the families affected.
Let me share with you the efforts of the current team across various initiatives which we had promised to undertake:
• Membership Drive: This has now gathered a great deal of momentum. From presentations in various organizations across Mumbai, members getting friends to enroll, stall setup on CSI at COM-IT, etc are all in full flow. We are seeing the name of CSI now showing presence all across. But we have to do this at an even large scale and ideas are welcome on how we can do this.
• Free Sessions: We have started a monthly CSI Knowledge Forum where we invite industry experts to come and share with all their insights into current problems faced by the industry. The sessions have been quite interesting and we are looking towards ideas on what topics our member would like us to cover in such sessions. So please do write in with your suggestions. You can get the details of all such upcoming sessions on our Chapter portal.
• National Conference: We have once again started our journey to get the next IT2020 off the ground. There are discussions in progress on the content, speakers, etc to be included in this next event. We are looking at today's IT industry requirement and picking up key areas for inclusion in our sessions. Our focus is to ensure we make it better than what we did last time.
Our other activities around arranging workshops, trainings, etc have been continuing and the entire Managing Committee has been focused on increasing the depth and breadth of the coverage we offer. Our efforts are continuing to make the Mumbai Chapter the best chapter in the country and we request your whole hearted help in this effort.
I take this opportunity to wish all our members a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Peaceful and Prosperous New Year.
Thanks,
Rajiv Gerela.
