CIO Club meet was organised on 1st June, 2010 at 7.00 pm at Hotel Leela, Sahar, Mumbai. The meet was organized in association with British Computer Society & BCM Institute. The occasion of the meet was Launch of ISEB Foundation Certificate in Green IT Programmes in India.
Welcome address was given by Mr.Rajiv Gerela, Immediate Past Chairman, CSI Mumbai Chapter, who spoke about the objectives of CSI & CIO Club. Mr.Dhiraj Lal, Regional Director, BCM gave a brief overview about BCM Institute.
A presentation on “Green IT” was given by Mr.Graham Morris, International Account Manager, - Indian Sub-continent, BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT, UK & Ms. Beth F. Sherlock, Founder - GaiaTeq, Australia.
This was followed by a panel discussion on “Implementation of Green IT in Enterprise”.
Panelists included Mr.Graham Morris, International Account Manager, - Indian Sub-continent, BCS, Dr. Himanshu Misra - Head of Strategic Client Relationships and CMC’s C-Green Business, Mr. C. Kajwadkar - Chief Architect and Vice President - Netmagic Solutions & Mr.Daman Dev Sood, VP & Head, Green IT Practices, BCM Institute. Panelists elaborated on need to implement Green IT in enterprises & its benefits to the society.
Vote of thanks was given by Mr. M.D. Agrawal, Vice President cum President Elect CSI and President CIO Club, Mumbai. CSI Mumbai chapter presented the mementos to Mr.Graham Morris & Ms. Beth Sherlock of BCS.
The CIO Club Meet ended with Networking Dinner.
