INFASE : Internship Facilitation Scheme from CSI

One of the major concerns for all engineering students and colleges is finding suitable internship opportunities. This usually results in a lot of ad-hoc actions like sending your resume’ to all kinds of e-mail addresses creating a lot of confusion and unwanted rejections. Similarly on the company side, many are open to taking students for internships, but reaching out to get quality students is a challenge. Keeping this scenario in mind, CSI Mumbai chapter in collaboration with CDAC Mumbai has launched INFASE, an internship facilitation scheme.

Students who are looking for internship can register on the portal, indicating their preferences on place of posting, area of work, duration, etc. From the companies on the portal, one can choose companies of interest to oneself and flag ‘expression of interest’.

If any company has expressed interest in him/her, he/she can accept/reject the same at his own risk. Further down, expect to see ‘smart matches’, and ‘recommendations’ personalised to your profile.

Companies who are willing to or are interested in taking interns can register (one time annually) and fill in their requirements as and when they arise. They can also search students based on the requirements and mark ‘expression of interest’ in whom they like. They can also accept/reject students who have expressed interest in their profile.

Matching through expression of interest, facilitates the match making process beyond profile matching.

We are confident that INFASE will be a big help to students and companies alike, in finding opportunities of mutual interest with little effort. We urge all interested students and companies to register/sign up following the respective links on the portal. We also invite any feedback to improve the scheme.
